Cholan World Record Attempt – Abacus Challenge

On 23rd August 2025, UCMAS is organizing the World’s First and Largest Abacus Cholan World Record Attempt at Temple Trees, Colombo, Sri Lanka. In this remarkable event, 2500 students will attempt to solve an incredible 552,500 sums in just 8 minutes using the abacus. This grand effort, recognized by the Cholan Book of World Records (CBWR), highlights the power of focus, mental math, and teamwork. It stands as a milestone in education, showcasing young learners’ extraordinary skills and setting an inspiring example for future generations.
